Our Freedom Fund Luncheon keynote speaker for 2026 is Eric Cole of Greensboro, North Carolina, a Disney Dreamers Academy alumnus whose journey reflects perseverance, leadership, and the importance of preparing to the next generation to carry the work forward. Eric has been recognized nationally for academic excellence, youth, mentorship, and community advocacy, and for his message of passing the baton.

This event is a celebration of our ongoing fight for justice, equity, and community power and is the branch’s primary fundraising event to enable us to carry out the mission of the NAACP in Northern Orange County. This year’s event will be held from noon – 4:00 PM on Saturday, September 19th, 2026 at the Whitted Building located at 300 W Tryon St., Hillsborough, NC 27278. 

This event isn’t just a celebration. It’s a statement of revival, relevance, and readiness — and we need your help to make that statement real. Tickets are $75 per person, and the following sponsorships are available to support our mission:
