Branch Committees are an important part of our organization. It is through the committees that important administrative and advocacy of the Northern Orange Branch occurs. Read about our committees below and consider joining a committee by clicking the link below.
The Executive Committee is comprised of our officers, committee chairs, and at-large members.

The Bylaws Committee is an adhoc committee that will propose a set of unique bylaws for the Branch to submit to the National Office for approval.

The Finance Committee is tasked with ensuring the overall financial health and success of the branch by overseeing financial policies and procedures and budget-related decisions, including developing an annual budget.

The Freedom Fund Committee is responsible for planning and conducting fundraising activities, including the branch's Freedom Fund Banquet.

The Legal Redress Committee seeks to support members of the community who believe their civil rights have been violated by investigating claims and referring matters to the State Conference and the National Association. It does not provide legal advice or representation.

The Political Action Committee seeks to increase voter registration and voter participation among black and brown voters. It also works to inform voters of local, state, and national legislation that impacts the BIPOC community.

The Communications Committee uses all forms of media, including traditional media, branch website, social media and e-newsletter, to keep local membership and community aware of critical civil rights issues and increase branch engagement.

The Religious Affairs Committee seeks to promote an educational program designed to give a moral and ethical interpretation to the civil rights struggle.

The Membership Committee seeks to increase and retain branch memberships. This committee organizes events for membership recruitment and engagement.
